Plans are underway for our 2012 conference. Notifications about panel presentations will be sent out by July 1, 2012. Below you will find other pertinent information.
Now that abstracts are in, please note that you need to confirm that you will present by August 1, 2012. Email. Jeffrey Leak at email@example.com. Shortly after confirming presenters, we will finalize the program schedule. Unless otherwise indicated, each presenter will have twenty minutes. We will post further information regarding power point presentations.

As part of our grant from the North Carolina Humanities Council and the Chancellor’s Diversity Challenge Fund at UNC Charlotte, we will have featured presentations by: Manfred Berg, Fitzhugh Brundage, Claude Clegg and Amy Wood. We are excited about upcoming events and look forward to your participation in the conference. We will update the site frequently. Stay tuned.
There are several hotels located near the Center City Campus. But we have reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn (www.hicharlotte.com). When making your reservation, identify yourself as a member of UNC Charlotte Holiday Inn Center City. The rate is $109 per night, and this rate will expire on September 11, 2012. There is also complimentary shuttle service from the hotel to the Center City Campus.
The hotel does not house a shuttle service from the airport. You can take a cab for a flat rate of $25. The least expensive way from the airport is the Charlotte Sprinter Service at the airport for about $2.00.
