My research is focused on reducing HIV-related health disparities. Her specific research has focused on improving adherence to antiretroviral therapy, improving engagement in HIV care, HIV prevention and symptom management.
My research activities incorporate mixed methods to address the effects of stigmas on the HIV-related health-seeking behaviors of by Black/African Americans. My current study examines the social, environmental and structural factors that influence the use of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) by African American women.
